How not to do it!
Next week we're going to support Birmingham City College when they perform a dissection, using live streaming via a visualiser. Hope it goes better than this!

QR code experiment

Trying to see which is the best reader. zxing doesn't seem to be able to read some codes - even ones generated by its own generator! This was generated by zxing - now I'm going to try to read it with 3 different readers on my iphone:
zxing
BeeTagg
i-nigma
and see which read the code OK.
Results:
zxing - worryingly didn't recognise it as a barcode
BeeTagg - had to take a snapshot which immediately took me to the site
i-nigma - worked like a dream with a very satisfying audio sound!
Yet another QR code generator
This was created at i-nigma
I much prefer the i-nigma reader on an iPhone - it takes you straight to the page/contact details or whatever without having to take a picture unlike BeeTag which is simple to use but has an extra step. Either way, they're both quick, easy to use and have so much potential!

QRME I downloaded an i-nigma reader from this site to my Sony Ericsson K510i which seems to work fine although I needed to take a photo of the code before it would take me online. iPhones triumph again!
